Privacy and Security: How We Handle Your Data

We operate from the EU, which means everything we do is subject to GDPR. This post is a plain-language summary of what data we collect, where it lives, and what we don't do with it.

What We Collect

When you purchase a license, we receive your name, email address, and Stripe-confirmed payment details. We also generate a unique license key and a hardware identifier (HWID) when you first activate the software. That's the entire data set.

Where Your Data Lives

All customer data is stored on servers physically located within the European Union. Backups are encrypted at rest. Our payment processor, Stripe, is PCI DSS Level 1 certified — we never see or store your card details directly.

What We Don't Do

• We don't sell your data to third parties. Ever.
• We don't track your activity inside UnSafeExamBrowser. The application phones home only to verify your license, nothing else.
• We don't share your email with marketers or partners. Your inbox stays clean.

Your Rights Under GDPR

You can request a copy of all data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccuracies, or request deletion at any time. Email support@unsafeexambrowser.com from the address tied to your account and we'll respond within the GDPR-mandated window.

Cookies and Browser Storage

The website uses a single piece of browser storage — your selected language preference. No advertising cookies, no analytics that follow you around, no third-party trackers loaded from our pages.
