Most UnSafeExamBrowser issues fall into a handful of categories. This post covers the ones we see most often and how to resolve them in under a minute.
License emails are sent within 60 seconds of Stripe confirming payment. If yours hasn't appeared after a minute or two, the most likely cause is your spam folder. Search for "UnSafeExamBrowser License" across all folders. If it still isn't there, double-check the email address you provided at checkout — typos happen. If everything looks right, email support and we'll resend manually.
License keys are case-sensitive and contain no spaces. The most common cause of an "invalid" error is a leading or trailing space that copy-paste sometimes brings along. Copy the key exactly, paste it, and remove any extra characters before pressing Activate.
If UnSafeExamBrowser refuses to launch, try the following in order:
On many laptops the F-keys default to media controls. Toggle FnLock with Fn + Esc, then try Shift + F12 again. If your keyboard has no FnLock, look for a setting in your manufacturer's keyboard control panel to change the default behavior.
